Friday off for ski - but what's open? A group hookup with Gregor and Alex, then pick up Al, and a mission to find something open...with more than one lift. After a bit of discussion we settled on Gstaad, simply because it was the only thing with some decent number of lifts open. Meillerets had one chair, leysin, closed, isenau closed, G3000 the glacier only (in 70kph wind at -14C), so Gstaad would have to do.
Parked at Eggli then made our way over to Rougemont, around there for most of the day, then work our way back to Eggli. Snow was pow but most of the upper areas were fairly tracked out. Still lots of pitches here and there untracked. I twisted my ankle (my bad one) early in the day, but skied the rest of the day on the piste.
Frustrating, but beautiful and fun day anyways.
